ICAC Open Day showcases anti-corruption achievements

2017-6-17

Members of the public today (June 17) were guided through the many facilities at the ICAC Building in North Point to learn first-hand about Hong Kong’s anti-corruption journey and the latest graft-fighting initiatives through film footage, exhibition and special displays.

The ICAC Open Day 2017 is one of the highlight events of the Commission’s multi-year “All for Integrity” territory-wide community engagement programme.

“Over the years, the ICAC hosted Open Day as a continuous effort to enhance transparency and public understanding of its anti-graft work,” said an ICAC spokesman.

The visiting public today toured various ICAC facilities including the mock Video Interview Room, Identification Parade Suite and the Exhibition Hall. Firearms used by ICAC officers were also on display.

Visitors also enjoyed a rich variety of activities including quizzes, interactive games and photo-taking with ICAC icons.

The ICAC Open Day will be held on two consecutive weekends starting from today. A total of about 5,000 tickets had been distributed earlier to the public through computer balloting.

Members of the public with admission tickets are reminded to attend the guided tours according to the time slots specified on their tickets.
