Former chef alleged of bribery wanted by the ICAC

The District Court today (Tuesday) issued a warrant for the arrest of a former chef of a Chinese restaurant, charged by the ICAC for alleged bribery over purchases of meat and poultry from a supplier.
Au Yeung Wai-keung, 42, former supervisor of the roasted meat section of Kamboat Chinese Cuisine Company Limited, failed to meet a condition of his bail imposed by the court earlier.
Au Yeung was charged by the ICAC in June 2008 with two counts of accepting advantages from a supplier and one of conspiracy to accept advantages on behalf of another agent of a different restaurant. The alleged offences took place between March 2003 and A ugust 2007.
He was granted cash bail of $50,000 and was ordered to report weekly to the Police. However, he failed to report to the police on August 21 and since then could not be located.
