ICAC Commissioner concludes Beijing visit

An ICAC delegation, led by Commissioner Dr Timothy Tong Hin-ming, today (Friday) concluded its three-day visit to Beijing to foster exchanges and explore opportunities for further anti-graft cooperation with the Supreme People’s Procuratorate (SPP), the Ministry of Supervision and the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS).

During the visit, Dr Tong called on Mr Cao Jianming, Procurator General of SPP, and Ms Ma Wen, Minister of Supervision, to exchange views on the latest development of anti-graft work and explore possibilities for further collaboration among Guangdong, Hon g Kong and Macao.

Dr Tong also met with Ms Li Qiufang, Head of Discipline Inspection Group of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection to CASS. Dr Tong and Ms Li shared their views on measures to curb corruption effectively.

Expressing gratitude to Mr Cao, Ms Ma and Ms Li for their support to and co-operation with Hong Kong’s ICAC over the years, the Commissioner wished that collaboration be broadened continuously on the solid ground built.

Other members of the delegation included Ms Julie Mu Fee-man, Director of Community Relations; Mr Ricky Yau Shu-chun, Assistant Director/Administration; and Mr Nelson Chan Ping-man, Principal Corruption Prevention Officer.
