ICAC Commissioner shares HK anti-graft experience with Mainland officials in Shanghai

ICAC Commissioner Simon Peh Yun-lu today (Tuesday) departed for Shanghai where he will share the strategy and experience of Hong Kong’s anti-corruption work with over 240 senior Mainland officials attending the China Executive Leadership Academy Pudong.

At the academy’s invitation, Mr Peh will deliver a three-hour presentation entitled “A Quiet Revolution –'96 Sharing of the Hong Kong Anti-Corruption Experience”. The presentation will cover the changes the ICAC had undergone in the past four decades, the work of the Commission’s three departments –'96 Operations, Corruption Prevention and Community Relations, the factors for the ICAC’s success as well as future challenges. Mr Peh will also exchange views with participants on issues in relation to the anti-corruption work in Hong Kong.

Mr Peh will also deliver a speech at the opening ceremony of the 54th National Affairs Study Programme for Hong Kong’s disciplinary forces.

While in Shanghai, Mr Peh will take the opportunity to call on the Secretary of Shanghai Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection, the Shanghai Supervision Bureau and the Shanghai Municipal People’s Procuratorate to share Hong Kong’s latest anti-corruption initiatives. Mr Peh will also visit the Shanghai Free Trade Zone.

Accompanying Mr Peh on his visit is Raymond Ng Kwok-ming, Secretary to Commissioner. They will return to Hong Kong on November 7 (Friday).
