ICAC chief visits Guangdong to forge closer partnership with Mainland counterparts under Greater Bay Area development

ICAC Commissioner Simon Peh Yun-lu today (May 14) leads a delegation to visit Mainland anti-corruption authorities in Guangzhou and Shenzhen to enhance collaboration and foster closer ties in fighting graft under the Greater Bay Area development.

Mr Peh will call on the Guangdong Provincial Commission of Supervision and meet with its Chairman Shi Kehui and other officials.

During his stay in Guangzhou, Mr Peh will attend a tri-party meeting with the Guangdong Provincial Commission of Supervision and the Macao Commission Against Corruption to discuss anti-corruption collaboration among the three places following the promulgation of the outline development plan for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

The delegation will also visit the Guangdong Provincial Public Security Department to strengthen mutual liaison and cooperation.

During his four-day visit, Mr Peh will also call on the Guangzhou Municipal Commission of Supervision and the Public Security Bureau.

Prior to returning to Hong Kong on Friday (May 17), the delegation will head for Shenzhen and meet senior officials of the Shenzhen Municipal Commission of Supervision and the Public Security Bureau.

In Shenzhen, the delegation will also visit the Qianhai district to learn about its latest anti-corruption initiatives.

ICAC officials accompanying Mr Peh on his Guangdong visit are Mr Ken Ho King-yeung, Acting Director of Investigation (Private Sector); Ms Sally Kwan Yee-lan, Secretary to the Commission Against Corruption; Mr Lawrence Chung Wan-hon, Principal International Liaison and Training Officer; Raymond Kong Yim-kwan, Chief Investigator, and Ms Florence Au Pui-wai, Chief International Liaison and Training Officer.
