ICAC chief visits Zhejiang to share HK anti-graft experience

ICAC Commissioner Simon Peh Yun-lu today (Thursday) commenced his three-day visit to Hangzhou city in Zhejiang Province, where he will attend an exchange forum and closing ceremony of a National Studies Course participated by ICAC officers.
While in Hangzhou, Mr Peh will take the opportunity to call on the People’s Procuratorate of Zhejiang Province, the Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and the Supervision Department to learn from each other the latest anti-corruption initiatives.
In addition, the ICAC Commissioner will visit the Zhejiang Provincial Public Security Department for experience sharing in investigating bribery crimes in the commercial sector. He will also visit the department’s command centre.
A total of 27 ICAC officers are in Hangzhou for the six-day National Studies Course which commenced on April 13. The course features modern history of China, foreign policies, national defence strategies as well as anti-corruption cooperation between Hong Kong and the Mainland.
Accompanying Mr Peh during his visit to Zhejiang is Daniel So Ping-hung, Chief Staff Officer of the Centre of Anti-Corruption Studies. They will return to Hong Kong on Saturday afternoon.
