Upon receiving a corruption complaint, the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC), in accordance with established policy, will conduct investigation in strict confidence. The identity of the complainant will also be kept in confidence. If necessary, legal advice will be sought from the Department of Justice in the course of investigation. All investigations will be reported to the independent Operations Review Committee before being concluded.

The ICAC noted that a letter addressed to Ms Tam Heung-man by the ICAC has been circulated on the social media today. The ICAC confirms that the letter was issued by the Commission. The ICAC has nothing to add to the content of the letter.
