In December last year, the ICAC also received a six-member delegation of the Independent Bureau of Anti-Corruption (BIANCO) of Madagascar, led by its Director General Jean Louis Andriamifidy.

ICAC chief Mr Peh, accompanied by the heads of the Commission’s four departments, held a high-level meeting with the delegation to explore future collaboration on training and advisory services.

During the five-day visit, the Madagascar delegation was also briefed on ICAC’s three-pronged graft-fighting strategy through law enforcement, corruption prevention and community education. Topical briefings covering the latest initiatives in investigation, corruption prevention in both public and private sectors, safeguarding the proper use of public money, as well as anti-graft publicity and public engagement work were provided.

The delegation also took the opportunity to visit various facilities of the Operations Department, including the report centre, detention centre, identification parade complex, video interview recording facilities as well as the ICAC’s regional office in Wan Chai.
