3rd ICAC Symposium

In recent times, the world has seen a number of corporate scandals which have gone beyond mere failures of governance and involved senior management in corruption and criminal fraud. The price that both governments and the public have to pay for this lack of good governance is horrendous. One needs only to look at failed corporations such as Enron, Worldcom and Parmalat to appreciate the impact that management misconduct of this magnitude has had upon the community. At the Third ICAC Symposium, delegates will have the opportunity to learn about the investigation and prosecution of those involved in some of the massive corporate frauds that have attracted international attention, and to explore measures to promote corporate integrity and good governance. Speakers will include representatives from law enforcement agencies, regulatory bodies, justice departments, international organizations, accounting and legal professions and multi-national corporations. The Symposium should provide an excellent forum for discussion and experience sharing, and I look forward to welcoming you to the event.

The Symposium aims at providing a forum for delegates to exchange experience and discuss practical issues in combating corporate corruption and promoting governance.

Delegates are invited to attend all Symposium Sessions, Cocktail Reception, Symposium Dinner, City Night Tour, Visit to ICAC and will receive a Symposium Programme Book.

In addition to the Symposium Cocktail Reception, Symposium Dinner, City Night Tour and Visit to ICAC, accompanying persons are invited to two half-day city tours.

A letter to facilitate visa application for overseas delegates can be issued upon request.

Delegates and accompanying persons are responsible for the provision of their own medical, accident and other insurance.
