In view of the extension of government measures to reduce the flow of people and social contacts in order to stop the spread of COVID-19, the ICAC today (August 13) announced that the current special arrangements of the Commission’s services will be further extended until August 23.

A former manager of a bank has been charged by the ICAC today (August 12) with deceiving a client into taking out an insurance policy before opening a bank account, and defrauding the bank that the client was referred by another bank manager.

A former manager of an insurance company, charged by the ICAC, was today (August 11) sentenced to five months’ imprisonment at the Eastern Magistrates’ Courts for deceiving the company into hiring a person as her down-line agent with fake working experience.

A former manager of a logistics company, charged by the ICAC, was today (July 22) sentenced to seven weeks’ imprisonment at the Tuen Mun Magistrates’ Courts after admitting that he had accepted illegal rebates totalling $7,000 for outsourcing goods labelling work.
