A then Instructor of the Hong Kong Institute of Construction (HKIC) and his friend appeared today (May 4) at the Kwun Tong Magistrates’ Courts for mention after being charged by the ICAC for allegedly concealing that a materials supplier was controlled by them to mislead their respective employers to secure purchase orders in procurement processes.

A then operations assistant of a shuttle bus company, charged by the ICAC, today (April 30) pleaded guilty at the Tuen Mun Magistrates’ Courts to accepting bribes totalling over $32,000 in relation to the employment of a driver.

A man charged by the ICAC was today (April 29) sentenced to two months’ imprisonment at the West Kowloon Magistrates’ Courts after admitting that he had reposted an online post on his social media page to incite others not to vote at the 2025 Legislative Council General Election (LegCo Election) during the election period.

A Superintendent of Police (SP), along with his girlfriend and younger brother, was charged by the ICAC today (April 28) for allegedly accepting a million bribe from a businessman, committing misconduct in public office by divulging Police internal information regarding a traffic accident involving the businessman’s ex-wife, and intending to pervert the course of public justice by arranging for his younger brother to stand as a scapegoat driver for two speeding cases involving the businessman’s son and the SP himself.

The ICAC today (April 27) charged two men. One is suspected of leaving a comment on a post on a media outlet’s social media page that incited others to cast blank votes at the 2025 Legislative Council General Election (LegCo Election) during the election period, while the other allegedly reposted a post on his social media page to incite others not to vote. The duo have been released on bail, pending their appearance at the West Kowloon Magistrates’ Courts on Wednesday (April 29) for plea.

An ICAC corruption investigation earlier revealed that a then account supervisor of a party products supplier had misappropriated company funds totalling approximately $16 million by forging signatures on over 400 cheques. The defendant was today (April 24) sentenced to an imprisonment of six and a half years following his guilty plea to theft at the Court of First Instance of the High Court.

A company director, charged by the ICAC, was convicted today (April 24) at the District Court of offences including obtaining services by deception, following a corruption investigation that revealed the defendant had used a false passport to open bank accounts.

A proprietor of a secretarial company charged by the ICAC appeared in the West Kowloon Magistrates’ Courts for mention today (April 21) for allegedly offering a bribe of $6,800 to a bank employee to assist clients referred by her in opening bank accounts.

Following a corruption complaint referred by the Fire Services Department (FSD), an ICAC investigation revealed that a Senior Fireman borrowed a total of approximately $250,000 from four colleagues of higher ranks and a friend on the pretext that his father had been diagnosed with cancer. The defendant today (April 21) pleaded guilty to fraud and attempted fraud at the Eastern Magistrates’ Courts.

A then administrator of an international kindergarten was today (April 20) sentenced to 25 months’ imprisonment at the District Court following her guilty plea to accepting bribes totalling $640,000 from several parents. She was among 15 people charged by the ICAC with corruption involving bribes exceeding million to secure priority admission for children into its K1 classes. The 13 parents and a middleman involved were previously convicted of bribery and jailed.
