Hong Kong's young people were found to be highly intolerant of corruption as revealed by a latest opinion poll, ICAC Commissioner Mr Ambrose Lee Siu-kwong said today (Saturday).

A director of an engineering company was today (Friday) sentenced to four years' imprisonment at District Court for conspiracy to offer $1.5 million in bribes to a Chief Building Services Engineer of the Housing Department (HD) in relation to the installa tion of electrical materials at an HD re-development project.

Twelve former outdoor interviewers of a market research company were today (Wednesday) charged by the ICAC for allegedly falsifying interview records and questionnaires for a survey commissioned by the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB).

Two directors and a financial controller of an audio and visual company were today (Tuesday) sentenced at District Court for conspiring to defraud the University of Hong Kong (HKU) in relation to the tendering of a $35 million project for the New Medical Complex of HKU.

The ICAC will send out information booklets and pamphlets to candidates, election agents and voters to raise their awareness of the importance of upholding a clean and fair Sham Shui Po District Council By-election which starts its nominations today (Frid ay).
