Over the years, Hong Kong has consistently remained in the band of the top 20 jurisdictions with very low level of corruption in the world in international surveys.

The Corruption Perceptions Index of Transparency International is a composite indicator which aggregates data from a number of different data sources that provide perceptions of country analysts and business people of the level of corruption in the public sector.

The Rule of Law Index assesses the extent which countries/jurisdictions adhere to the rule of law in practice by examining eight factors, namely constraints on government powers, absence of corruption, open government, fundamental rights, order and security, regulatory enforcement, civil justice and criminal justice.

The World Competitiveness Yearbook measures the competitiveness of an economy by using over 300 criteria grouped under four main factors, namely Economic Performance, Government Efficiency, Business Efficiency and Infrastructure.

The Hong Kong International Academy Against Corruption is dedicated to establishing a platform that promotes academic research in anti-corruption among experts and scholars. Through collaboration with international and local research institutions, we combine the practical experience of the Independent Commission Against Corruption with the research capabilities of experts and scholars. This enables us to build a theoretical foundation for various areas of anti-corruption work and provide strategies and solutions to address corruption challenges.

The HKIAAC signed memoranda of understanding (MoU) with renowned academic institutions to to promote academic research on anti-corruption by experts and scholars, and strengthen cooperation in the training of anti-corruption professionals.
