Two police officers have been charged by the ICAC today (December 20) with misconduct in public office (MIPO) in relation to a murder case under investigation by the Police, while a metal works businessman faces an offence of aiding and abetting MIPO.

A proprietor of a public relations company appeared in the Eastern Magistracy today (December 20) after being charged by the ICAC with defrauding a fashion company of reimbursement of expenses totalling over $2.3 million.

A former marketing manager of a trading company, charged by the ICAC, was today (December 15) sentenced to 10 months’ imprisonment at the Eastern Magistracy for having offered illegal commissions to five employees of three supermarkets and another trading company to secure business.

A former manager of a bank, currently serving an 18-months jail for bribery and fraud, was today (December 14) ordered to serve an additional eight and a half months in jail at the District Court for having defrauded the bank of commissions in a separate trial arising from the same ICAC investigation.

In response to media enquiries, an ICAC spokesperson today (December 12) confirmed that 29 serving and former employees of five financial institutions, including four banks, were arrested for alleged bribery to divulge confidential customer information for touting personal loan business.
