A former sales manager of a moulding machine manufacturer, charged by the ICAC, was today (Friday) sentenced to eight months’ imprisonment at the District Court for accepting advantages totalling over $246,000 from a distributing agent in relation to the sale of plastic injection moulding machines.

A former chairman of the incorporated owners of a building in Tai Kok Tsui, charged by the ICAC, was today (Thursday) sentenced to three months’ imprisonment at Kowloon City Magistracy for pocketing a long service payment of $30,000 from a caretaker.

A Police Constable, charged by the ICAC, was today (Wednesday) sentenced to 22 months’ imprisonment at the District Court for trafficking in cocaine and ketamine, and inhaling ketamine inside a private club.

ICAC Commissioner Dr Timothy Tong Hin-ming, who has led a delegation to participate in a seminar in Macao, today (Monday) called on business leaders and monitoring authorities in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao to generate greater synergy in the economic d evelopment of the Greater Pearl River Delta and step up co-operation in the fight against corruption.
