A former area manageress of a snack shop, charged by the ICAC, was today (Tuesday) jailed for accepting advantages from subordinates, while a housewife was sentenced for bribing a driving examiner during a road test in a separate case.

The ICAC has smashed a syndicate which allegedly arranged for its members to fraudulently obtain loans from the Hong Kong Housing Authority (HA) by submitting false supporting documents and inflating the prices of the properties concerned.
