The ICAC announced today (February 22) that in view of the latest situation of the COVID-19 virus, the Commission will further extend its special work arrangements until March 1 (Sunday), providing basic essential and limited-scale public services during the period.

The ICAC announced today (February 15) that the Commission will further extend the current special work arrangements until February 23 (Sunday) in order to reduce social contacts and the risk of the spread of the novel coronavirus in the community.

An ICAC delegation led by Commissioner Mr Peh Yun-lu this morning (February 10) departed for Malaysia where he will attend an international symposium and exchange anti-corruption experience with graft-fighting counterparts.

The ICAC announced today (February 8) that the Commission will extend its current special work arrangements until February 16 (Sunday) in order to reduce the risk of the spread of the novel coronavirus in the community.

In light of the extension of special work arrangements for government departments to reduce the spread of the novel coronavirus in the community, the ICAC will provide emergency, essential and limited basic services to the public starting on Monday (February 3).

Pursuant to the implementation of special work arrangement for government departments after the Lunar New Year holidays to reduce the risk of the spread of the novel coronavirus in the community, ICAC staff who are not providing emergency and essential public services will not be required to return to their offices but will work at home after the holidays.

An Instructor of the Correctional Services Department (CSD), charged by the ICAC, was today (January 24) sentenced to 15 months’ imprisonment at the Eastern Magistracy after being convicted of accepting four loans totalling $90,000 from two inmates for remaining favourably disposed to them.

A drug trafficker, charged by the ICAC, was sentenced to eight months’ imprisonment at the West Kowloon Magistracy today (January 24) after admitting that he had offered a dangerous drug worth totalling $3,000 at a discounted price or for free to a police officer for the latter to remain favourably disposed to him.

A former salesperson of a marble supplier, charged by the ICAC, was sentenced to eight months’ imprisonment at the District Court today (January 23) after admitting that he had conspired with other persons to defraud two customers of about $1.6 million by inflating the prices of marbles in their purchase orders.

Two former assistant road inspectors of a subcontractor of the Highways Department (HyD), charged by the ICAC, today (January 23) admitted to separate charges of conspiracy to defraud the HyD by submitting road inspection reports containing photographs with falsely altered dates.
