A woman appeared at the Kowloon City Magistracy today (Wednesday) after being charged by the ICAC for alleged vote-rigging in the 2011 Wong Tai Sin District Council (DC) Election (Lung Sing Constituency).

A former Secretary for Development (SDEV) and an Assistant Director of the Highways Department (HyD), charged by the ICAC, were today (Monday) convicted at the District Court of deceiving housing allowances totalling over $700,000.

A former director of an animation production house, charged by the ICAC, was today (Monday) sentenced to seven months’ imprisonment at the Kowloon City Magistracy for perverting the course of justice by supplying false employment contracts in support of his defence in an earlier trial.

A former head chef of a restaurant, charged by the ICAC, was today (Thursday) sentenced to six months’ imprisonment at the Kwun Tong Magistracy for accepting illegal rebates from a frozen meat supplier and using false sales invoices to deceive money from the restaurant.

A Superintendent of Police, charged by the ICAC, was today (Thursday) sentenced to one year’s imprisonment at the Eastern Magistracy for misconduct in public office in relation to an application for a liquor licence from a restaurant.

A senior salesman of an authorised dealer of a Japanese brand of trucks appeared at the Kowloon City Magistracy today (Thursday) after being charged by the ICAC with conspiracy to offer over $100,000 in illegal rebates to an employee of a client in relation to the sale of trucks.

A Senior Medical and Health Officer, charged by the ICAC, was today (Tuesday) convicted at the Fanling Magistracy of making bogus medical appointments and stealing prescribed drugs.

A couple, charged by the ICAC, was today (Tuesday) each sentenced to two months’ imprisonment at the Kowloon City Magistracy for vote-rigging in the 2011 Kowloon City District Council (DC) Election (To Kwa Wan South Constituency).

A Superintendent of Police, charged by the ICAC, was today (Thursday) convicted at the Eastern Magistracy of misconduct in public office in relation to an application for a liquor licence from a restaurant.
