A batch of 13 newly recruited ICAC officers will today commence their careers as anti-corruption specialists after the completion of a specially designed five-week intensive induction training course.

In regard to a District Court judge's ruling in a corruption case yesterday (Tuesday), ICAC Commissioner Raymond Wong Hung-chiu today expresses his serious concern in a statement.

A former cleaning inspector and a former cleaning subcontractor of Citybus Limited (Citybus), charged by the ICAC, were today (Monday) sent to jail for accepting bribes totalling over $220,000 in relation to bus cleaning work performed by subcontractors.

The ICAC has arrested 10 persons, including a director and two employees of a debt collecting agency, for alleged bribery in relation to debt collection business.

Four persons, including a former executive director of public listed Kwong Hing International Holdings (Bermuda) Limited (Kwong Hing), were today (Saturday) jailed by a District Court judge for their respective roles in a bribery scam in relation to the p urchase of Kwong Hing shares and the publication of a research report of the listed company.

A former member of the Eastern District Council (DC) and his wife, charged by the ICAC, were today (Thursday) each sentenced to two months' imprisonment at Eastern Magistracy for committing voting offences at the 2003 Eastern DC Election.
