A Detective Police Constable, charged by the ICAC, was today (Wednesday) convicted at Kowloon City Magistracy of accepting bribes from a defendant in a police case for "fixing up" an investigation into alleged blackmail and triad offences.

Young people in Hong Kong are highly intolerant of corruption and they account for only a tiny fraction of those prosecuted for corruption and related offences, ICAC Commissioner Ambrose Lee Siu-kwong has revealed.
