A former property manager of a commercial and industrial building has been charged by the ICAC today (February 27) with inducing the Incorporated Owners (IO) of the building to pay over $517,000 as service fee to a company owned by him as a result of a false cleaning contract, using the false contract to open a corporate bank account, and attempting to induce the IO to pay him $21,000 as his salary.

On two consecutive weekends starting from today (February 23), members of the public will have the chance to learn first-hand Hong Kong’s anti-corruption history and achievements as the ICAC opens up its major facilities to mark the organisation’s 45th anniversary.

A director of a lighting equipment supplier, charged by the ICAC, was today (February 22) sentenced to 10 weeks’ imprisonment at the Tuen Mun Magistracy for bribing a former technician of a property management company with $43,000 to secure its purchase orders for lighting equipment.

Three former senior staff members of a subsidiary of a German electronic products importer have been charged by the ICAC with deceiving over HK$880,000 from the importer in the procurement and testing of television (TV) sets as well as reimbursement of entertainment and salary expenses.
